ATR centers has been in existence since 1999. Our name stands for Association of therapy and resource centers.
ATR centers is a nonprofit rehabilitation organization specializing in children with learning disabilities. ATR centers works with children and youth who have difficulties developing appropriate speech and language, social interactions, and motor coordination skills.
How do we design each child’s plan?
Each child attends one or two sessions each week. In addition, ATR centers therapists work together with the family and the school team to develop and carry out a comprehensive care plan that will support the child’s personal growth and academic success throughout the school years.
How do we achieve success?
We use fitness, cognitive challenges, music and art to provide engaging and stimulating social activities through which we work on our children’s goals. We believe that through movement, thinking challenges, music and art our students learn how to develop and maintain complex skills requiring perseverance and coordination. The strategies that they acquire can then help them with complex learning tasks in the classroom or a work environment.
